Transfermarkt's Serie A Ranking Prices African Players

Transfermarkt ranks Samuel Chukwueze sixth among African players in Italy’s Serie A, valuing the AC Milan winger at €20 million. Akor Adams shares ninth place at €15 million. The chart orders players by estimated market value, translating their standing in football into a figure in euros.

The ranking’s pecking order

Chukwueze trails Senegal’s Assane Diao, Ivory Coast’s Ange-Yoan Bonny and Evan Ndicka, Senegal midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, and Ivory Coast’s Christ Inao Oulaï. The chart lists his value at €20 million. Those figures make him one of six Nigeria internationals among the division’s 50 most valuable African players.

His valuation comes after an eventful summer at Milan. Chukwueze scored against Manchester United and provided two assists in a 4-2 pre-season victory in Wrocław. In September, he started Nigeria’s 2-1 win over Madagascar, then remained on the bench for the subsequent 3-0 defeat by Guinea-Bissau. The chart records his place and value; the match details sit alongside the number, but don't change it.

Adams shares the €15 million valuation with Ivory Coast’s Odilon Kossounou and Cameroon’s Frank Anguissa. The 26-year-old striker joined Venezia permanently from Sevilla in July on a contract running until June 2030. Before the move, he scored 10 goals in 37 appearances for the Spanish club. His joint-ninth position groups him with two players listed at the same value.

Six Nigerians, one combined figure

Maduka Okoye ranks joint-16th at €10 million and tops the list’s goalkeepers. Senegal and AC Monza goalkeeper Demba Thiam is the only other African goalkeeper included, at 42nd. Okoye stands above the other goalkeeper named here, while both appear in the wider ranking.

At 21, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is Nigeria’s youngest representative. The Monza midfielder ranks 23rd at €7 million, is contracted to Inter, and spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Pisa. His club contract and loan spell mark different stages of his career, while the chart reduces his standing to a rank and a value.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru ranks joint-24th, with a value of €6 million. The Lazio midfielder joined the Rome club in July 2025 and has earned 19 Nigeria caps. Kevin Akpoguma completes the six Nigerians, ranking joint-46th at €1.5 million. The 31-year-old centre-back is with Frosinone and has been part of their 2026/27 Serie A squad.

Together, the six Nigerians carry a combined market value of €59.5 million in the ranking. The total brings together players from different clubs, positions and career circumstances in one figure. Published Saturday, 3rd October, 2026, the article reports the ranking and the players’ listed values; it doesn't describe a grassroots response, mutual aid, or an electoral or legislative proposal. Here, the market-value chart does the sorting, and its hierarchy is plain: sixth, joint-ninth, joint-16th, 23rd, joint-24th and joint-46th.
