Six Nigerians Reach Serie A African Value Top 50

Six Nigeria internationals rank among the 50 most valuable African players in Italy’s Serie A. Samuel Chukwueze and Akor Adams both make Transfermarkt’s top 10, while the six Nigerians carry a combined valuation of €59.5 million.

Nigeria in the Top 10

Chukwueze sits sixth at €20 million. The AC Milan winger trails Senegal’s Assane Diao, Ivory Coast’s Ange-Yoan Bonny and Evan Ndicka, Senegal midfielder Pape Matar Sarr, and Ivory Coast’s Christ Inao Oulaï.

The 27-year-old’s valuation comes after an eventful summer at Milan. He scored against Manchester United and provided two assists in a 4-2 pre-season win in Wrocław. Chukwueze also started Nigeria’s 2-1 victory over Madagascar in September, but stayed on the bench for the subsequent 3-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau.

Adams shares ninth place with a valuation of €15 million, level with Ivory Coast’s Odilon Kossounou and Cameroon’s Frank Anguissa. The 26-year-old striker joined Venezia permanently from Sevilla in July and signed a contract through June 2030. He scored 10 goals in 37 appearances for the Spanish club.

Six Players, €59.5 Million

Maduka Okoye shares 16th place at €10 million, making him the highest-ranked goalkeeper on the African list. Senegal and AC Monza goalkeeper Demba Thiam is the chart’s only other African shot-stopper, in 42nd place.

At 21, Ebenezer Akinsanmiro is Nigeria’s youngest representative. He ranks 23rd with a €7 million valuation. The Monza midfielder remains under contract with Inter and spent the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Pisa.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru shares 24th place, valued at €6 million. The Lazio midfielder joined the Rome club in July 2025 and has earned 19 caps for Nigeria.

The Remaining Nigerian Entry

Kevin Akpoguma completes the group of six Nigeria internationals. The 31-year-old centre-back shares 46th place at €1.5 million and plays for Frosinone, after joining the club’s 2026/27 Serie A squad.

Chukwueze and Adams make the top 10, while Okoye, Akinsanmiro, Dele-Bashiru and Akpoguma rank from joint-16th to joint-46th. Transfermarkt’s ranking covers African players and lists the market valuations of players in Italy’s Serie A. The report with the figures appeared on Saturday, 3rd October, 2026.
