EU Wastes Billions on AI While Betraying Its Own People

Today, as Europe’s working families struggle with soaring energy bills and stagnant wages, Brussels and national governments are pouring billions into AI data centres that serve globalist elites—not ordinary citizens. Nebius Group, a foreign-backed AI infrastructure firm, announced a monstrous 310-megawatt data centre in Finland, part of a $10 billion spending spree that will further strain Europe’s already fragile power grids. Meanwhile, French AI darling Mistral secured $830 million to build yet another data centre near Paris, all while French workers face rising taxes and declining public services.

A Betrayal of European Workers

Where is the outrage? While politicians lecture citizens about ‘energy conservation’ and ‘austerity,’ they greenlight multi-billion-dollar projects that will consume enough electricity to power entire cities. These data centres won’t create jobs for European workers—they’ll serve Silicon Valley giants and global corporations, further enriching the same tech oligarchs who push open borders and mass migration. The average European taxpayer is footing the bill for infrastructure that does nothing to secure their future.

Energy Hypocrisy on Full Display

Europe’s leaders spent years lecturing the public about ‘climate responsibility,’ forcing families to switch to expensive heat pumps and ration energy use. Yet now, they’re rubber-stamping AI data centres that will guzzle power at an unprecedented scale. Finland, a country already struggling with energy shortages, is being turned into a playground for foreign tech firms. Where is the environmental impact assessment? Where is the debate about whether this is a wise use of Europe’s limited resources? The silence is deafening.

AI Expansion: A Threat to National Sovereignty

These data centres aren’t just energy hogs—they’re Trojan horses for globalist control. By outsourcing Europe’s digital infrastructure to foreign firms, Brussels is surrendering control over critical technology to unelected elites. What happens when these AI systems are used to push woke ideology, censor dissent, or manipulate elections? The EU has already proven it can’t be trusted to protect free speech. Now, it’s handing over the keys to the digital kingdom to the same forces that want to erase European identity.

Why This Matters:

This is not just about money—it’s about priorities. While European governments claim they can’t afford to secure borders, protect industries, or lower energy costs for families, they’re writing blank checks to Big Tech and foreign investors. The AI data centre boom is a symptom of a larger disease: a political class that has abandoned its own people in favor of globalist fantasies. Every megawatt consumed by these projects is a megawatt stolen from European homes and businesses. If Europe’s leaders won’t stand up for their own citizens, who will? The time for outrage is now—before it’s too late to reverse this betrayal.
