Israel will compete in the 2026 Cheerleading World Championships for the first time in its history, marking a significant milestone for the nation's emerging sports infrastructure. The competition takes place from April 22 to April 24 in Orlando at the ESPN Wide World of Sports complex at Disney, organized by the International Cheer Union, the official global governing body of the sport.
The Israeli Cheer Union announced the participation on Tuesday, representing a rapid institutional achievement for a young organization. Founded three years ago, the union has already secured recognition from both the International Cheer Union and the European Cheer Union—demonstrating how quickly a grassroots sports initiative can achieve international standing through merit-based competition rather than government subsidy or political favoritism.

Currently operating around 15 clubs with hundreds of athletes, the Israeli Cheer Union has expanded substantially since its founding. Ludmila Yasinskaya-Demari, team manager and founder of the Israeli Cheer Union, framed the participation in terms of resilience and national character.
