Media Networks Survey 100,000 Voters on Election Day

The Fox News Voter Poll is surveying about 100,000 voters in all 50 states on Election Day, turning voters’ choices and priorities into data gathered by a collaboration of media networks and The Associated Press. The poll asks whom people support and why, while its organizers set the questions, select the methods and determine when each state’s results become public.

Who Controls the Questions

Fox developed the poll with other television networks and The Associated Press. Research firm SSRS conducted it from October 19 to November 3, 2026. That division of labor is clear: media organizations developed the survey, a research firm ran it, and voters supplied responses through several channels. The account doesn’t identify any role for voters in choosing the questionnaire or deciding how the results will be presented.

The survey combines online and phone responses from registered voters with in-person surveys of voters at selected precincts on Election Day. Those methods gather answers from different groups in different settings; the in-person portion is limited to selected precincts. The poll’s reach is described as about 100,000 voters across all 50 states, not as a count of every person who votes.

The questions include issues driving voters, such as the cost of living and the war in Iran. The survey also asks which party voters consider better able to handle matters including the economy and healthcare. In its own terms, the poll turns choices about material concerns into responses organized around party competence.

Ballots Reduced to Survey Categories

The questionnaire asks whether people are casting ballots to support or oppose President Trump, or whether he wasn’t a factor in their votes. That question puts a political figure at the center of one frame for interpreting the vote. It also provides a third answer for voters who say he had no role in their decision.

The poll records what respondents say about their choices; the provided account describes no direct action, mutual aid or community-organized response connected to the survey. It also describes no legislative proposal or electoral remedy. The ballot and the poll are the institutions discussed: voters answer questions about parties, issues and President Trump, while the survey’s organizers shape the categories used to collect those answers.

Results Released State by State

Each state’s questionnaire and results will be posted on foxnews.com when polls close in that state. Publication is therefore tied to the closing of polls state by state, rather than a single release time for the entire country. The account gives no results, response breakdowns or findings from the survey itself.

What it does provide is the machinery: about 100,000 voters, all 50 states, online and phone responses, selected precinct surveys, and a set of questions chosen by the poll’s developers. The survey asks people to explain their choices, but it is the media organizations and their research partner that define how those explanations are gathered and displayed. Voters provide the answers. The apparatus sets the frame.
