OMODA and JAECOO Open Riyadh Store in Global Push

OMODA and JAECOO have opened what they call their world’s first directly operated store in Riyadh, putting vehicle displays, test drives, purchases and user communication under one company-run roof. The launch was presented as part of a long-term investment in Saudi Arabia. The sponsored Arab News report describes a retail and technology expansion directed by the brands; it offers no account of workers, local suppliers or how the investment will affect people beyond prospective customers.

A company-run route to market

The Riyadh store is one part of a much larger commercial apparatus. OMODA and JAECOO operate more than 1,700 showrooms across 79 markets and plan to expand to 99 markets by 2027. At OMODA X Night on Oct. 20, Shawn Xu, CEO of OMODA and JAECOO International, presented the brands’ global achievements and an innovation roadmap covering new energy technology, intelligent mobility and next-generation products.

The company reported cumulative global sales above 1.4 million units and forecast 2026 annual sales above 800,000, an approximately 110 percent increase year on year. New energy vehicles account for 81 percent of total sales. The report also says the brands expect deeper global localization and technological innovation to drive their next phase of growth. That’s the corporate language of expansion: more markets, more showrooms, more products, and a closer company-managed relationship with users.

Sales figures give the pitch its muscle. Europe accounts for 48 percent of global sales. In the UK, OMODA and JAECOO ranked second in the overall automotive market in August and September, and JAECOO 7 topped the country’s best-selling car rankings in September. France recorded monthly sales above 3,000 units and cumulative sales over 10,000; Spain and Italy each reported monthly sales above 4,000. Outside Europe, monthly sales exceeded 6,500 in Brazil. The brands ranked among Thailand’s top three automotive brands, while JAECOO 5 EV held the No. 1 position in battery electric vehicle sales. In Pakistan, they entered the top four of the overall automotive market.

Technology as the sales pitch

At the event, the company announced the coming global debut of its 5-kWh technology, first on OMODA 7. The larger battery powers Super Quiet Mode, which the report says is designed to provide EV-like quietness during starts, acceleration and high-speed driving. The vehicle’s HEV V2L system supplies 2.2 kW of onboard power, described by the report as the world’s only such capability. The battery also supports modes for resting, vehicle security monitoring, refreshment and scheduled activities, including making coffee on the go.

OMODA 4 is set for a global debut of Super Thermal Insulation Coating Technology. In tests under identical conditions, the report says its cabin temperature was 8–10°C lower than a competitor’s vehicle; with a sunshade on the competing vehicle, the difference remained 5°C. The silver coating is presented as both functional and aesthetic.

The brands are also promoting Super Intelligent Valet Parking, which can bring a vehicle to a user, find parking and park in supported scenarios. Equipped JAECOO 5 and JAECOO 7 models are scheduled for delivery in Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern markets. Super Intelligent AI Space, designed to interpret user intentions, emotions, individuality and trends, will be fitted in OMODA 4 models delivered worldwide.

The report’s horizon is a 13-model portfolio over the next three years, with the all-new OMODA X and its “OWN MY EDGE” attitude at the front of the pitch. The store gives that pitch a physical address in Riyadh. The article supplies sales targets and product claims, but no independent verification of those claims or view from people outside the company’s customer-facing plans.
