This came after court papers acknowledged that a botched renovation by the Interior Department, not vandalism, caused setbacks in the Reflecting Pool's restoration. Trump had the idea of applying swimming pool material to the 100-plus-year-old landmark. CNN said Trump is now considering removing Pirro from her position, highlighting the internal disarray within the administration.
A victory for Trump this week saw his former personal attorney, Todd Blanche, confirmed as attorney general. Blanche, currently acting attorney general, was forced to officially and permanently squelch a $1.8 billion fund widely seen as a mechanism to pay Trump’s political supporters.
