Asunción's October Calendar Runs on Private Ticketing

Asunción’s second half of October runs on ticket sales, private venues and a long list of paying crowds. The Rio Times’ guide to events from Oct. 16 through the end of the month lists a World Skate Games finale, arena pop shows, and a run of rock and theatre dates. Most events sell tickets through two private platforms, TUTI and Ticketea.

The Headline Draw

The calendar’s biggest money draw is Colombian pop star Camilo, who brings the “Camilo Worldwide Tour 2026” to SND Arena at Puerto de Asunción on Friday, Oct. 23. General-sale tickets cost ₲247,500, about US$43, plus a service charge. Ueno bank customers paid ₲210,375, about US$37, in the pre-sale. General sales opened June 10, giving buyers months to decide. The guide calls it one of the month’s biggest pop shows and warns that large crowds will gather around the port area.

Mexican singer-songwriter Marco Antonio Solís closes the month on Saturday, Oct. 31, with the “Gratitud Tour” at Jockey Club Paraguayo. Tickets start at ₲200,000, about US$35, through Ticketea. Camilo and Solís both list service charges on top of face value, the guide notes, and advises buyers to check the final total before paying. The venue sits outside the old town. The guide recommends arranging transport in advance.

Skating’s Final Weekend

The World Skate Games ASU2026 run from Oct. 2 to 18 at the SND and COP parks, with the final weekend falling Oct. 16-18. Organizers will crown world champions in 12 disciplines across skateboarding, roller sports and other World Skate sports. Entry to the two parks is free. Visitors need tickets only for arenas inside the parks, and TUTI sells them at tuti.com.py.

Music, Theatre and Business

Friday, Oct. 16, brings Argentine folk group Los Nocheros and “40 años El Show” at 21:00 at the Gran Teatro del Banco Central del Paraguay, marking four decades. At 21:00, metal bands Hellbutcher, Masacre and Nervochaos share a bill at Voudevil. Ticketea sells tickets for both events.

Saturday, Oct. 17, brings Paraguayan rock band Flou to Sala García Lorca at Manzana de la Rivera in Centro Histórico. The band performs “Tácito 20 años” at 19:30, marking 20 years of its album Tácito. At 20:00, The Missing Peace plays its “Buscando la Paz Tour” at Absoluto Rock Bar, while Mauri Bauzá presents “Íntimamente” at Teatro Latino. The guide calls Oct. 16 and 17 the busiest nights and urges people to book early.

Publicly run theatre also appears in the listings, though some details are missing. Teatro Municipal Ignacio A. Pane lists “Visita Actuada Dentro del Municipal” on Sunday, Oct. 18, and Noche Vallenata on Saturday, Oct. 24. Neither listing gives a time or price, so the guide tells attendees to check with the theatre. Vallenato is accordion-led folk music from Colombia.

Friday, Oct. 23, also brings Festival Tatakua 2026 to Centro de Convenciones del Mariscal. The guide describes it as the main gathering of Paraguay’s creative and advertising industry, drawing agencies, production companies, advertisers and independent professionals.

Practical Notes

The guide describes October as late spring, with mild evenings and potentially hot afternoons. It suggests checking the forecast for outdoor events at the SND parks and Jockey Club. For late shows, it recommends ride-hailing rather than waiting for a bus. Centro Histórico is easy to walk by day but quieter after dark, so groups should move between venues together. Guaraní prices use an exchange rate of about ₲5,700 per U.S. dollar, the Rio Times market rate on Oct. 15, 2026.

Why This Matters:

The calendar shows how much of Asunción’s cultural life now rests on private promoters, ticketing platforms and paying audiences. Camilo’s show alone prices general admission at ₲247,500, and service charges push the final cost above the sticker price. Free entry to the skating parks sits alongside ticketed arenas, a mix that depends on commercial sales to cover costs. Meanwhile, public theatre listings leave basic details such as time and price blank. For readers, the practical lesson is simple: book early, check the total before paying, and plan transport. That’s a perspective on the facts, not a conclusion drawn from them.
