Maputo Arts Calendar Sets Tiered Concert Prices

The Centro Cultural Franco-Moçambicano’s October programme lists one concert, with tickets costing 300 to 800 meticais. Prices for two animation screenings and an exhibition aren’t listed. The day-by-day guide starts on 21 October, featuring events at the CCFM in central Maputo, and ticket details vary by event.

What the programme lists

The exhibition “Faces da Modernidade: Obras do Acervo do Millennium bim” opens Thursday 22 October in the CCFM exhibition hall. Curator Jorge Dias selected works from the Millennium bim art collection for the show, which is scheduled to run through Saturday 12 December. The CCFM programme lists no opening time, admission price or opening hours. It advises visitors to check with the venue.

The CCFM’s Mês do Cinema de Animação, or Animation Film Month, includes a children’s screening of “Le Secret des Mésanges” on Saturday 24 October. Directed by Antoine Lanciaux, the film is scheduled to run from 10:30 to 12:30 in the auditorium as part of the Saturday children’s programme. The programme doesn’t give a ticket price or age range.

The Cineclube lists “Planètes,” directed by Momoko Seto, for Tuesday 27 October, from 18:00 to 20:00 in the CCFM auditorium. The screening is also part of Animation Film Month. The programme shows no price for it.

Concert prices and access

The Bokani Dyer Trio is scheduled to perform “Traditions Album Tour” on Friday 30 October at 20:00 in the CCFM Sala Grande. South African pianist Bokani Dyer is touring with his Traditions album.

General-admission tickets cost 800 MT, about US$12.65. CCFM members pay 700 MT, about US$11.07. Student tickets cost 300 MT, about US$4.74, but the venue has capped that category at 50 tickets. Students can buy them only at the CCFM. The venue starts physical ticket sales on 28 October.

The currency conversions use the RT rate of 63.25 meticais per US dollar on 20 October 2026. The guide lists no prices for the animation screenings or exhibition, so those costs remain unlisted in the schedule.

Planning around the schedule

The CCFM is at Av. Samora Machel 468, on Avenida Samora Machel, a central Maputo artery where visitors can pair an evening event with dinner nearby. The guide is intended for Maputo residents and people staying for a few weeks. It advises visitors to prepare for warm daytime weather and carry water, but says it didn’t check forecasts.

The programme source is the CCFM agenda cultural at ccfmoz.com, retrieved on 20 October 2026. Programmes can change at short notice, the guide says, and visitors should confirm times with the venue. Contact details appear at ccfmoz.com, and the CCFM updates its events page through the month. For the 20:00 concert, the guide recommends a trusted taxi or ride-hailing app at night and arranging transport in advance. No other events for these dates had been confirmed, and the guide says it would add only verifiable events.
