Grupo Niche tickets for its symphonic show at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena went on general sale Saturday at 10 a.m. Prices range from COP 143,100 to COP 673,300, including service fees. That’s a gap of more than COP 500,000 for one night of Colombian salsa.
The concert, Un Universo de Sentimientos, takes place Friday 16 April 2027. Doors open at 6 p.m., with the show starting at 8 p.m. local time. A second performance follows Saturday 24 April 2027 at Daviarena in Medellín.
What It Costs
At the 16 October 2026 exchange rate of about COP 3,183 per U.S. dollar, the least expensive seats are in third-tier sections 301 and 319. They cost COP 143,100 (about US$45) during the first sales stage, then rise to COP 156,300 (about US$49) when that allocation sells out. In the first stage, second-tier seats ranged from COP 276,600 to COP 372,800 (about US$87 to US$117). Platea seats cost COP 420,900 (about US$132) to COP 541,100 (about US$170).
Tribuna Fan Sur is the priciest section. Its tickets start at COP 649,300 (about US$204) and climb to COP 673,300 (about US$212). Tuboleta, the official seller, says supply and demand can change prices. Buyers can purchase up to six tickets in one transaction. The seller shows an extra delivery fee for web, call-centre and point-of-sale purchases before payment.
Budget seats come with a catch. Sections 201, 219, 301 and 319 may have restricted views, depending on the stage setup. Tuboleta says it won’t accept visibility complaints for those sections. The cheapest tickets offer the least recourse.
Access and Fine Print
For Bogotá, Tuboleta says it’s the only authorised seller. Movistar customers had a presale from Thursday 15 October until 9:59 a.m. Saturday 17 October, giving that group a head start before general sale opened. The Tuboleta Pass app delivers the tickets.
Accessible areas are available. Buyers with reduced mobility are asked to contact customer service when purchasing, rather than use a simple online checkout.
The venue’s minimum age is 12. Children may sit only in sections 206, 214, 306 and 314, which are alcohol-free; each child must have a responsible adult with them. Movistar Arena, at Diagonal 61C No. 26-36 in Bogotá’s Teusaquillo district, holds up to 14,000 spectators, according to Visit Bogotá. The tourism site recommends taking TransMilenio, the bus rapid transit system, along Avenida NQS to the Movistar Arena station.
The Music and the Legacy
Niche Sinfónico pairs songs by the Colombian salsa band with orchestral arrangements. According to Publimetro, the repertoire comes from Jairo Varela, the group’s founder and main composer. Infobae reported in 2025 that Varela died in 2012 and the band continued performing. Noticias RCN said the project won a Latin Grammy in 2023, although outlets describe the award category differently. Noticias RCN and Publimetro credit José Aguirre and Juan José Aguirre with musical direction.
The orchestra’s size and any guest artists for the 2027 dates haven’t been announced. Publimetro said Bogotá hosted the production in August 2026, so April marks its return to Movistar Arena. Infobae reported that the band’s Legacy Tour included a Carnegie Hall date in New York on 17 April 2025. Publimetro describes the Medellín performance as the show’s first there.
Medellín tickets were due to go on sale Thursday 22 October 2026 through Tuboleta. No time or prices had been published, and the ticket page couldn’t be opened for the report. Buyers were advised to check the venue’s entry conditions for minors; Bogotá’s age rules shouldn’t be assumed to apply in Medellín.
Travel Advisories for Visitors
For U.S. fans flying in, the State Department requires a valid passport and recommends six months’ validity and at least one blank page. Tourism and business visitors don’t need a visa for stays of 90 days or less. Travellers must complete the free Online Check-Mig form before flying, and Colombia may deny entry to people without return tickets.
Dated 31 March 2026, the State Department’s advisory rates Colombia Level 3, Reconsider Travel. It lists Level 4, Do Not Travel, areas including Arauca, Norte de Santander and most of Cauca and Valle del Cauca. The advisory says demonstrations in Bogotá are frequent and can turn violent, crimes against tourists are common, and street crime occurs throughout Colombia and can quickly become violent. It also warns of terrorist violence with little or no warning, including possible targets in tourist areas and transport hubs.
In June 2026, President Gustavo Petro asked the Foreign Ministry to review entry conditions for U.S. citizens, El Cronista reported. The paper said no official measure had changed the rules.
Why This Matters: A concert honoring a salsa band that grew out of Colombian working-class neighborhoods now spans a price range where the cheapest seat costs about a fifth of the most expensive one. Dynamic pricing, a single authorised seller, presale windows tied to a telecom customer base and no-complaint clauses for restricted-view seats all shape who gets in, and on what terms. Access provisions exist, but buyers must contact customer service to use them. None of this is unusual in live entertainment. That’s the point: private sellers set market rules that decide who experiences a shared cultural tradition. How cities and regulators treat ticketing fees and transparency will shape whether such nights stay within reach for ordinary fans.
