Grupo Niche Brings Colombian Salsa to Bogotá Arena

Grupo Niche will perform its salsa repertoire with the Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional de Colombia at Bogotá’s Movistar Arena on Friday 16 April 2027. Tickets start at COP 143,100 and reach COP 673,300. Titled Un Universo de Sentimientos, the concert forms part of the Niche Sinfónico project, pairing the band’s songs with orchestral arrangements.

A Colombian repertoire on the arena stage

The concert draws its repertoire from Jairo Varela, the group’s founder and main composer, Publimetro reported. Varela died in 2012, Infobae reported in 2025, but the band kept performing. Noticias RCN said the project won a Latin Grammy in 2023, although outlets describe the award category differently.

Noticias RCN and Publimetro credit José Aguirre and Juan José Aguirre with musical direction. Organizers haven’t announced the orchestra’s size or any guest artists for the 2027 performances. Publimetro reported that Bogotá hosted the production in August 2026, so the April date brings it back to Movistar Arena.

Doors open at 6 p.m. The concert starts at 8 p.m. local time. The arena stands at Diagonal 61C No. 26-36 in Bogotá’s Teusaquillo district and holds up to 14,000 spectators, according to Visit Bogotá. The tourism site recommends taking TransMilenio, the bus rapid transit system, along Avenida NQS to the Movistar Arena station.

Ticket prices and conditions

Tuboleta, the official seller, says it’s the only authorised seller for the Bogotá show. General sale opened Saturday 17 October 2026 at 10 a.m. Bogotá time, or 11 a.m. U.S. Eastern, following a Movistar customer presale that ran from Thursday 15 October until 9:59 a.m. Saturday. Every section has numbered seats.

Third-tier sections 301 and 319 cost COP 143,100, about US$45, in the first sales stage. After that allocation sells out, the price rises to COP 156,300, about US$49. Second-tier seats ranged from COP 276,600 to COP 372,800 in the first stage, while Platea seats ranged from COP 420,900 to COP 541,100. Tribuna Fan Sur cost the most, at COP 649,300, rising to COP 673,300. Prices can change with supply and demand.

Buyers can purchase up to six tickets per transaction. Before payment, the seller displays an extra delivery fee for web, call-centre and point-of-sale purchases; it delivers tickets through the Tuboleta Pass app. Accessible areas are available, and buyers with reduced mobility should contact customer service when purchasing. Tuboleta says sections 201, 219, 301 and 319 may have restricted views depending on the stage setup. It won't accept visibility complaints for those sections.

Second date and visitor information

Grupo Niche is scheduled to perform at Daviarena in Medellín on Saturday 24 April 2027. Publimetro calls it the show’s first performance there. Tuboleta was due to begin selling tickets on Thursday 22 October 2026, but no time or prices had been published, and the ticket page couldn't be opened for the report. Buyers should check the venue’s conditions for minors; Bogotá’s rules shouldn't be assumed to apply in Medellín.

For Bogotá, Tuboleta sets the minimum age at 12. Children may sit only in sections 206, 214, 306 and 314. Those sections are alcohol-free, and each child must have a responsible adult with them.

The U.S. State Department advises U.S. citizens that they need a valid passport to enter and leave Colombia. It recommends six months’ validity and at least one blank page. No visa is required for tourism or business stays of 90 days or less; stays can total 180 days per calendar year, and Migración Colombia can extend a stay by 90 days. Travellers must complete the free Online Check-Mig form before flying, and Colombia may deny entry to people without return tickets.
